I Can See You, And Thank You.

jhnmyr:

Someone told me that the tag search on Tumblr would be one of the safer doors to open on the internet and that it might be an encouraging experience to read your posts… I’m really glad I did, because I got to connect with and feel a whole lot of love from you all. It’s been strange to release a record with zero crowd noise to go off of, and tonight I really felt like the music I made over the last couple of years really matters. You have all put a huge smile on my face. Thank you.

Borned & Raised to me is one of your Best pieces of genius! I loved that you took this record back the 70’s roots….lots of harmonica, intricate layered tracks, musical runoffs that really complete the journey of the song… I love that it isn’t typical mainstream music. I think I have almost worn this record out….I have played it countless times and everytime I hear a song again, I pick up on new sounds each and every listen. It takes me back to my teens when I used to lay on my bed with the headphones on, or on the floor with the speakers next to my head and could get lost in the actual meaning behind the song, not only lyrically, but within the story through the soul of the music….Thank you for this Gift! I said previous that I thought it was one of your best pieces of work….but I think I’ll change that statement and say that it is indeed your best work to date! I loved every written lyric, every note played on this record. It’s a masterpiece! I’m looking forward to when you are well again and can be interpretting these songs “live” for all of us to get lost in….My best to you on the rest of your journey….and can’t wait to experience this album in person … P.S.  - Although this record was written from experience of your very “own journey”, I think that each and every one of us man or woman can relate in many many ways through your expression, because we are all on a journey in this life, and we all experience parts of the whole in one way or another….as we learn and grow. XO!
